This song was written a few months into the pandemic. After feeling down, frustrated, and ready to get on with my old life, I sat at my in-laws' upright piano in North Carolina, began playing the repetitive piano line heard in the song, and expressed my feelings through my most transparent medium, music. The times I've experienced this past year have ranged from the highest of highs to the lowest of lows. I’ve relocated from city to city, not knowing where I’d be the next month, but through it all, I have learned to be more patient, honest, and resilient. Through all of life's challenges, which like a storm, are bound to come, my journey reminds me that sometimes “only time can heal how we feel. So stay strong, hold on to what is real." I hope this song provides you with some comfort, and I hope it shows us all that if we can get through this, we will get through anything that comes our way.
